Rue Esplanade is located only 250 yards from Jackson Square, the cultural heart of the French Quarter. Many restaurants and attractions are within easy walking distance. The resort's two buildings are more than 160 years old and are quintessential examples of antebellum Creole townhomes, complete with 14-foot ceilings, cornices, ceiling medallions in some suites, and beautiful hardwood floors in most. Some suites have balconies, and all contain a mixture of antiques and reproductions. Several suites have full-size four-poster beds. A large outdoor pool is situated in the courtyard between the two buildings.
