Located on the beach in Kapaa, Pono Kai Resort is on the eastern coast of Kauai, where the average annual temperature is 70 degrees. The resort is between Hanalei Bay and Poipu Beach, and is not far from the airport in Lihue.

Pono Kai resort includes eleven beachfront acres. It has and outdoor pool and whirlpool spa. and a long stretch of sandy beach. The resort is within walking distance to many restaurants, and the Coconut Marketplace offers shopping and eateries. You'll also find an oceanfront bike path, volleyball, tennis, shuffleboard, and putting greens on site, as well as croquet. You can play golf at one of several courses close by. The island offers swimming, hiking, surfing, snorkeling, catamaran cruises, boating, fishing, and luaus. Kauai is called the 'Garden Isle' because of its natural beauty and botanical gardens. Take helicopter tours over the lovely beaches and scenic viewpoints. You can also catch seasonal whale watching, dolphin and sea turtle spotting expeditions. Take a tour of the rum distillery, or the chocolate farm, or coffee farm.
