La Bastide du Roy Rene   3124

Originally the Bastide De Perignane was built in 1472 for King Rene, then transformed into La Bastide Du Roy Rene, which is in the ancient capital province, 2km from the centre. This beautiful city is now a mixture of a medieval town and pedestrianised streets to the north with elegant 18th century avenues to the south, which are divided by the tree lined Cours Mirabeau. The city boasts many interesting museums, elegant shops and restaurants.
