This Marriott resort might be the most under rated location on Hilton Head island. Not only has the resort itself been recently renovated, the entire Shelter Cove area of HHI has recently underwent some major upgrades. Just a few minutes walk to Shelter Cove marina and you can be dining waterfront, shopping at the boutiques, or enjoying one of the events or festivals. Also, right next to the marina area, you will find many other restaurants, shops, boutiques, and a Kroger's grocery store at the Shelter Cove Towne Centre.

This resort is centrally located on HHI and convenient to everything. You can just relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area from your balcony or the heated pool. For those who want to be active you can hit the many miles of paved bike trails found on HHI, play tennis on three Har-Tru (clay) lighted tennis courts, golf, or rent kayaks, paddle boards, or jet skis right next door at the marina. You can also schedule / charter boat tours at the marina.

You can bike, drive, or take the free shuttle to the Palmetto Dunes beach and Palmetto Dunes Beach Club which is only minutes away (1.8 miles).
